RoHS Compliant Clear Chromate Conversion
Ohio Anodizing Company uses an Aluminescent Trivalent Chromate for Clear Chromate coatings. Aluminescent was developed by the US Navy and exceeds MIL-5541 and is RoHS compliant. The product forms a chromate conversion coating on aluminum surfaces without the use of hexavalent chromium. The process provides excellent corrosion protection and forms a base for paint or rubber bonding. Aluminescent is suitable for wrought and cast aluminum alloys. The coating is usually applied after the cleaning and etching process for maximum bonding.
